Teachers, Faculty, and Staff encourage students to strive for excellence in all activities in order to provide students the most opportunities after high school. The importance of doing well in all classes, being a positive addition to sports teams, and being involved in clubs or activities inside and outside of school are communicated often. A dedicated college counselor meets with each class to discuss academic performance and college preferences throughout the school year. All students are able to have individual appointments with the academic and college counselor before school, during break or lunch, and after school. Our goal at Trinity Christian High School is to help each student find the college, university, or program that is the best fit for their future.
College Application and Selection Process
Students in their senior year are given priority from the academic and college counselor. In the beginning of the year students are given a presentation that includes a step by step description of the application process. Subsequent to this presentation students are given individual support from the counselor, registrar, and teachers for each of their applications. Parents and students are given a presentation about the types of financial aid, information on how and when to apply to Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), and scholarships opportunities. Once students receive college acceptances the counselor will work with the student and parents if needed to evaluate the offers.
