The history of Trinity Christian High School reads like an epic movie filled with adventure and unsung heroes. Although we are drawn in when watching these heart-pounding films, we usually shy away from wanting to be the main characters in these stories. Why?
Isn’t the fact that we connect with these people in the movie – and feel so alive as we watch them run full-speed screaming toward their enemies – evidence of a deeper yearning within our souls? This begs the question, “Can we truly educate young people without engaging their hearts?”
At Trinity Christian High School, we have found that when a student is fully engaged, they begin to take risks – because they begin to trust. They begin to find courage and become more vulnerable, more real, more alive. Suddenly, they begin to discover qualities about themselves they never knew they had! Suddenly, they start wondering if there’s more to who they are than who they think they are.
It’s beautiful. It’s magical. It’s what we celebrate here at Trinity – a life transformed.
Jesus said that “perfect love casts out fear.” I wonder if He meant that each one of us could be that hero in the movie and risk it all if we knew that no matter what happened, we would be loved? What would this mean to a high school student? For a student to not only know this to be true, but to feel it and experience it on a consistent basis? At Trinity, it’s easy for every student to really know and encourage each other.

I believe that the evidence of the impact of applying these principles and designing a healthy campus culture are clear. We also must thank our many community partners that empower us and support us to do far more than anyone could imagine from a small high school.
