Trinity Christian High School was started in 2001 under the covering of Calvary Chapel Monterey Bay Church, with a vision entrusted to a small group of parents, pastors and educators. The goal was to create a high quality Christian educational alternative for high school students in the Monterey Bay Area.
The real distinctive of the TCHS program is that a caring faculty is able to make sure that student learning ultimately centers on how God relates to all of life’s responsibilities and opportunities. Each student is daily encouraged to explore the Christian implications of academic subjects and to practice how Jesus would have us to relate to each other in the context of school and real life.
In 2006, the school became an independent school with a governing school board whose members are from various churches in the community. Today, TCHS enrollment has grown to a student body of 100+ students, with young men and women from all over the world, including Venezuela and France, and from over 20 area churches across the Christian denominational spectrum.
The original goals set when the school was founded are being met. Among them academic excellence, an active sports program, arts, integrated technology and extracurricular programs, collaboration with and among students, and a Christ-centered focus.
